i've put together

where to put it: place pak1.pak and tigpakqw.cfg into your existing
arena directory under your main quake directory.
e.g. c:\quake\arena
!!NOTE!! If the file quake\arena\pak1.pak already exists,
rename the .pak file to the next logical number.
e.g. If c:\quake\arena\pak1.pak exists, rename
it to c:\quake\arena\pak2.pak
!!NOTE!! .pak file numbers need to be sequential, this is
important
alternative: unpak the contents of this pak1.pak file to your
quake\id1\maps folder using an unpaker like
PakExplorer v1.12 (from www2.telefragged.com/quakestuff)
how to use: start up a rocket arena game. (see
rocket arena readme.txt for more info
on this)
at the console (press ~) type
the following
map xxx (press enter)
(press ~)
replace xxx with the map you wish to play
how to use: exec tigpakqw.cfg
(for qw server) this will run all the levels from the .pak
map list: tigrarena
tigra2
tigra3
tigra4
tigra5

this Rocket Arena map pak was made from a series of maps
that i started to make that could be played on any pc that
could play quake. i found that a lot of the RA maps had
stupidly high r_speeds. something that is not very good
for net games and also something that was *turning* people
off RA, a quake mod i love :]
i see the waiting room as an important part of a RA level.
all of these levels have a rich, detailed or large area
for spectators. some of the r_speeds may be high in these
areas, but as no fighting (besides axe attacks) takes part
in these areas this is not a problem at all
no r_speeds above 500 in any of the arena areas (that i
know of). most are a lot lower (like between 200 to 360).
some levels have transparent water, most do not.
